Day 1 ARUSHA/KARATU – TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK – ARUSHA/KARATU
Your Tarangire adventure begins in the morning with a private pick-up from your hotel or accommodation in Arusha. After a short safari briefing, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, approximately 2–3 hours by road from Arusha.
Known for its magnificent elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and diverse wildlife, Tarangire offers an exceptional one-day safari experience. The park is particularly renowned for wildlife viewing around the Tarangire River and its seasonal wetlands.
Upon arrival, you will enter the park and begin your game drive, exploring its scenic landscapes and varied habitats. Your experienced Asoupe safari guide will help you discover the park's wildlife, which may include elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, antelopes and a variety of bird species. With luck, you may also encounter predators such as lions and leopards.
Around midday, you will stop at a designated picnic area to enjoy a packed picnic lunch surrounded by the natural beauty of the park.
After lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive, taking time to explore different areas of Tarangire and enjoy further wildlife sightings and photography opportunities. The park is also celebrated for its distinctive baobab landscapes and excellent birdlife.
In the late afternoon, you will begin your journey back to Arusha. Arrive in Arusha in the evening, where your Tarangire day safari comes to an end.
